I just received this email:
'Thank you for your application; your resume is impressive. I think you must not realize, however, that the Cataloger I is an entry-level paraprofessional position. I will hold your application in abeyance unless I hear confirmation that you are indeed interested in this low-level job.'
You see what I'm up against here? Should I send them the link to that article? I hate my life.

- My husband has ME/CFS, and has had for many years. He was officially diagnosed in 2011, but has been ill since I have known him. Against all common sense, we decided to have a child. We struggle to maintain a normal existence while dealing with his illness...it touches all aspects of our lives and informs just about every minute of every day. Yet some of the people closest to us still don't believe that my husband is severely ill, don't believe the illness is "real." This blog is an attempt to mitigate that belief.

Hey Hack...I'm REALLY sorry, but I found this semi-rejection email quite amusing. Did you alter the text in any way, or do people actually write stuff like that? Also, like you, I am beginning to see that we could have foregone the degree, saved the dough, and jumped right into something like cataloguing.
